The First Weeks of Nursing School

I’m into my fourth week of nursing school and so far I’m absolutely loving it. I find myself almost sad to be heading home at the end of the day, as well as constantly craving more knowledge.

For the first time in my study life, I actually find myself reading the text books religiously, even when it’s not even required. I find myself occupying my spare time with… strangely enough… more studying. It’s like I need to keep learning as much as I can. While it seems unusual I’m sure I’m going to look back on this in a few months when exams are on and think I was a crazy naive fool.

So far I’m really enjoying the clinical sessions – never been so excited to make a bed – and Bioscience is very challenging, maybe the most challenging of all the subjects at the moment. Its very fast paced, every week we’re onto a new topic. But its nevertheless editing, especially the practicals. I’ve already had the opportunity to see real Human skin and kidney tissue under the microscope.

I’m also thinking I might share some more in depth content on this blog, such as daily experiences if they’re worthy, as well as short essays and articles I write along the way (but no assignments, you’re not getting them that easily).

Looking forward to the next couple of weeks!
